Just few days back we saw how the municipal corporation of Gurdaspur, Punjab had illegally picked up stray dogs for relocation.
Next to follow them now is the municipality of Bhuj, Gujarat. The municipality sent it's people to pick up dogs from a residential colony. This was done on a complaint made by a powerful man living in the colony. This is nothing new in India. People who are rich and have political connections get all illegal things done very conveniently and the system dances to their tune. So a shameful and disgusting Indian resident of Bhuj asked the municipality to pick up two dogs (Dhokla and Dabeli) from his lane. And on his complaint the municipality sent their men and got the dogs picked. Thankfully the caregiver was able to rescue Dabeli but failed in save Dhokla. Dhokla was dragged on the floor very badly and then picked up in the most cruel manner leaving her injured and traumatised. Later she was dumped in a half dead state in a dustbin. God knows if she is still alive? To watch the dog cruelty by the Govt personnel's of Bhuj municipality kindly go on the link below:
Relocation of dogs is an offence and the way they were picked up by the municipality workers shows the height of cruelty in Bhuj.
Will the commissioner or the officer on whose order this illegal and cruel act happened get legal punishment? Isn't this cruelty against animals? Such people should not be spared. Rather they should be more severely punished. Unfortunately people who are suppose to be the custodians of law are actually breaking the law and that too just to please some corrupt and unethical residents of their area.
What has happened in Bhuj is nothing new in India. This keeps happening all the time in India. Corrupt people and corrupt system is the main reason why India in spite of having such rich resources is still poor.
Another example of corruption is an incident which has taken place in Pathankot, Punjab.
A family which used to feed eight dogs of their area were physically assaulted. The husband, wife and their 15 year old daughter. The family which hit them had objection to their feeding the dogs. The caregiver family tried to lodge police complaint against the accused family but the police did not help them. Here again the accused family is well connected because both the police and the political bosses of the area are not helping the caregiver family. It seems they have given their tacit support to the culprits. To hear the plight of the caregiver family kindly go on the link below:
