India is one of the worst hit country's in the world by the Covid pandemic. Wonder what karma has brought this terrible tragedy on us?????
One of the reasons is definitely cruelty against the voiceless souls. Both corona and cruelty are going hand in hand in India. As if they are in direct proportion to each other. Cruelty cases are on a rise not ready to stop so also the corona affected cases. Many have already lost their lives and many more are battling against this evil disease in hospitals and homes. Yet we Indians have still not learnt anything. Cruelty against the man's best friend continues even during the pandemic.
A cruelty case has been reported from Mumbai where a man killed a dog by beating him with a rod. We can see the culprit saying that the dog has been biting them. God knows why the dog bit them? And if at all he bit them? Because mostly these people lie.
We humans most of the time provoke dogs to bite us. This dog by all likelihood was not rabid because if he was he would have bitten his caregivers and the reporters. But who will educate the people of India? That a dog bite due to provocation will not cause rabies especially if the dog is vaccinated. Who will tell these people that killing a dog is cruelty and is a punishable offence? And who will tell them how to behave humanly with the man's best friend. "I am writing to inform you that I live in Jeewanpark Uttam Nagar. There are some cruel people who beat dog, cat, cow, calf and small babies of animals by stick, throw stones, warm water on them. For last 10 days they hurting them and when I asked them to stop doing this shit they started warning me to stop feeding them otherwise they will take action on me. Will Corona leave India soon? With the kind of cruelty happening against the voiceless in India we Indians should get ready for a third wave. And this one will be deadlier than the previous two........
Even now is the time for the animal welfare depts and the law enforcement agencies to wake up and take some concrete actions. All the murders which are happening is the result of poor governance, corrupt system and faulty policies. Unless the govt addresses these issues, cruelty and harrassment of animals and their caregivers will continue in India.....
