Katara (pic in the post) a playful, lovely and over friendly dog of Chennai was mercilessly beaten up by few employees of a company when she tried to take refuge in the company compound to protect herself from the harsh weather. But the employees just couldn't allow her to do that, so they beat her up so badly that she sustained multiple fractures all over her body including her jaw and after suffering in pain for several hours she finally passed away. The caregivers were told by the employees that the dog had spoilt few clothes and boxes which were kept in the company. Even if what they are saying is true, is this what she deserved? Is this the right way to teach the dog a lesson? How disgusting and shameful. For full report and to see the video of the unfortunate dog kindly go on the link below:

60 year old lady caregiver was harassed and abused for feeding the dogs in Janakpuri, Delhi. Her phone was snatched away by the dog haters and the sad part is that the police too sided with the dog haters and people who had no shame in insulting and abusing a senior lady. An eight month old female dog was taken and dumped by a resident who is already on parole. The person lives in East Vinod Nagar, East Delhi and the caregiver (Anshul - +91 99531 45182) who stays in the same locality is looking helplessly for her for the last 4 days. The accused and his wife told Anshul that they dropped the dog near Kondli because she used to poop in front of their house. After coming to know of it Anshulwent with him and tried to look for the dog everywhere but didn't find her. Today too hewent in the morning to look for her but she was not found. The accuse and his wife have neither any guilt nor remorse for what they have done. Is pooping such a big crime? The chances of her survival is quite bleak because of the cold weather, lack of food and attack by other dogs of Kondli. And if she survives she will very soon become pregnant and deliver babies because she was not yet sterilized. How is this act of cruelty helping reduce stray dog population in India? Anmol sadly has no pic of the dog. The dog is black in colour and  is quite shy and docile.

Do the people of India even know that killing a dog or relocating him is an offence? That there is only one way to stop their population and that is through sterilization?

When will the municipal corporations across india start this very important awareness? How many more dogs will die such cruel deaths due to sheer human ignorance? And how many more caregivers will be abused, harassed and insulted?
