The animal rights activists and the Bhopal police have together made history. It must be the first time in India that bail has been denied in case of dog cruelty even though the dog is alive. Bhopal indeed deserves to be the capital of Madhya Pradesh. In my knowledge no capital of any state in India including Delhi has set such an amazing example.

The perpetrator who was seen throwing the dog into a lake from the bridge was tracked down by the animal lovers and animal rights activists of Bhopal and then they got him  arrested. But that was not all. They didn't budge from the police station till the town inspector denied bail to the culprit. This was indeed a big victory for them. Now the fate of the perpetrator lies with the Divisional magistrate.
