Last week The Allahabad High court had ordered to remove all stray animals including dogs from the city of Prayagraj (old name Allahabad). Two leading advocates Katyayani Singh and Rahul Sahai appeared before the court for modification of this order and thankfully the honourable judges have suspended that part of their order. Rahul Sahai appeared before the court on behalf of the founder of PFA and the member of Parliament and former Union Minister Maneka Gandhi.

We Indians have still got a lot of faith in our judiciary. Although the judges have suspended the order of relocating the dogs but now it is the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation who has to ensure that the dog population is controlled in the city of Prayagraj by implementing the ABC programme.

Unfortunately many municipal corporations in india are not implementing this programme. Many are not doing it and the ones who are doing it are not doing it properly. There is complete lack of awareness amongst the people of India about this most ethical, legal and a wonderful programme which will not only control dog population but also eradicate canine rabies from India.

If the signatories and the supporters wish to make a tweet to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and the commissioner of Prayagraj regarding ABC programme then you may do so at the following:
