In India there is a law which says that any form of cruelty towards animals is a punishable offence but the Delhi police seems to be absolutely ignorant about it.
In India there is a law which says any form of abuse or harassment towards women is a punishable offence but the Delhi police seems to be absoluteky ignorant about it.
In India there is a law which says any form of abuse or harassment towards caregivers is a punishable offence but the Delhi police seems to be absolutely ignorant about it.
Around two days back a case was reported where a caregiver Sakshi (M- 8527553302) was harassed for feeding the stray dogs of R.K. Puram Sector 9. On 4th August 2020 she as usual.went to feed the dogs when she found few dogs dead and she suspected poisoning. Out of 9 dogs she used to feed, 4 dogs died. The fourth one died today due to probably parvo but the residents didn't allow Sakshi to provide medication to the sick dog. In this whole incident the Delhi police have been the biggest villain.
When Sakshi was being abused and stopped from feedng the dogs by residents of Flat number 19, she called the police (100 number). But instead of helping her and protecting the dogs the police sided with the perpetrators. She was beaten up by two females right in front of the police and the police did nothing. They took Sakshi and few others to the police station and made her sit for 4 hours without registering any complaint.. The SHO and the IO of the sector 12, R.K. Puram police station.told Sakshi to forget all.this and to stop feeding the dogs.as the residents do not want her there.
Sakshi was a resident of the same locality for 20 years. She recently shifted to Munirka but she kept going daily to Sector 9, R.K. Puram to feed the dogs whom she has been feeding for past 10 years. But she has been threatened by the Inspector and the residents that they will charge her with robbery if she comes again to feed the dogs.
Sakshi is just 21 years old and is too frightened to go now to feed the dogs. No one wants to be charged with false robbery.
Sakshi went to feed the dogs on 5, 6 and 8 August but she was stopped both by the police and the residents and the RWA president of the colony. She pleaded with them to allow her to give the ailing dog medicine but these monsters didn't allow her. She doesn't want to go to feed the dogs anymore but she wants someone to feed them. The dogs will surely die either due to poison or due to starvation.
Where are all the laws which protect the caregiver,s dogs and women?
Bhavna (+919899417803) a young girl who feeds dogs around her neighbourhood in Patparganj East Delhi had a similar experience. On 9th August 2020 she and her friends were abused and manhandled by a resident for feeding the dogs. The residebt kicked a 5 month old pup thrice right in front of them and told them that he will poison them.all and nobody can do anything. Bhavna called the police which came half an late and once they came they sided with the accused. The police took no action against the accused. Rather they asked Bhavna to forget all the humiliation and pain she, her friends and the dog went through. For the police the matter was too trivial and needed no action.
The R.K. Puram.sector 12 police have done a crime by siding with the perpetrators who not only have killed the dogs of their colony but also physically assaulted Sakshi who is both a woman and a caregiver. Imagine police (IO) using coercive measures to stop a caregiver from feeding the dogs. threatening her of being implicated of false charges of robbery.
The Madhu Vihar police didn't show their disapproval once to the accused. By their silence and their mannerism they have openly conveyed to the accused that harassing the caregivers and killing and beating the dogs is no offence at all and the Delhi police will take no action. So please go ahead and do whatever you want to with the caregivers and the dogs of the area.
15th August 2020 is the independence day of India. But what kind of celebration does India expect from.Sakshi, Bhavna and so many other caregivers of India who are constantly facing humiliated and harassed and are living in constant fear.
fOur forefathers fought against the mighty British and now we are fighting against the corrupt system, which seems mightier and more powerful than the British.
It's a real.shame that the capital of India is being run by uniformed goons ........
