Nothing can be more cruel and brutal than abandoning your own pet on railway tracks. One can stlll understand the cruel logic of people beating an unknown stray dog because he was barking or biting at them but an owner abandoning his own pet dog (female Labrador) that too on railway tracks is just unbelievable and unjustifiable. The dog finally succumbed after battling with physical and emotional pain for four long hours. PFA (People for Animals) has determined to teach a lesson to the monster who did this monstrous act and is now working towards it. To watch the dog suffering kindly go on the link below:

Nothing can be more barbaric and shameful than this. A video has gone viral which shows a kitten been put on fire. The Humane Society International (HSI India) has announced a reward of Rs. 50,000 for anyone who helps in getting the perpetrators arrested. They have already filed a complaint with the cyber cell of India for tracing the video. They have also urged people not to share the video because the farther it will go more difficult it will get to reach the monsters who did this crime.

Where is India heading? And what are our Ministers doing especially ones who are responsible for animal welfare in India. Daily a dog is being killed that too in the most brutal manner and now a cat that too with so much cruelty.

I will leave you with an article which got published on 18th July 2020 in Legally Speaking of Times of India. The writer Vageshwari Deswal teaches law in Delhi University. She talks about our declining Indian ethos and our intolerance towards animals. She further says how a caregiver who is absolutely right and lawful in feeding dogs is often abused, harassed and even threatened with legal action by people who as per law are wrong but they pose as if they are on the right side and it is the caregiver who is breaking the law. She talks about her own horrific incident as a caregiver where she and her daughter were threatened and misbehaved with by a couple just because they didn't want the dogs to be fed in their area. One of them was a lawyer and she threatened the mother and daughter with legal action for feeding the dogs.

Vageshwari very nicely writes that if an educated person like her who teaches law in one of the most prestigious universities of India was misbehaved with by a lawyer then what must be happening to the caregivers who are less educated and know nothing about their rights and the rights of their furry friends.

Wonder when will our Govt and the Municipal Corporations wake up.

How long will the animals and their caregivers suffer?

Neither the animal laws are implemented properly in this country nor the govt is taking any interest in making the laws stricter with higher penalties and punishments.
