Corporates in India are no different from the RWA who want the dogs out of their colonies and societies. Corporates can't stand dogs in and around their office premises. They often ask their guards to shoo the dogs away.
Infosys a large IT company in India has huge sprawling campuses in many parts of India. It is a well known company and Indians are very proud of it. But when we talk to animal lovers they have a different story to say. They blame Infosys for relocating the dogs from their campuses. They have huge area but not for dogs or for dog lovers.
Capgemini is a company and probably the only company in India which has allowed around 16 stray dogs to enter it's campus. Not just that it has provided the dogs with food and water. This was done on the request of few of its employees who were dog lovers and wanted to help the stray roaming outside the campus and who were in a terrible state without food, water and security. Today the dogs are not stray. They are owned by Capgemini. They are Capgemini pets. For the entire story of Capgemini and its dogs go to the link below:
Dog lovers are in every corporate office but not all are lucky to be able to feed the dogs in their office campuses.
Capgemini employees could do so because of their sensible and compassionate administration. This is actually the best example of corporate social responsibility.
Wish all corporates in India were like Capgemini.
