Today is Mahashivratri in India. It is a festival of Lord Shiva which is celebrated with a lot of exuberance and fervour. Pashupati Nath is another name for Shiva which means lord of animals. Animals have a lot of significance in Hinduism. Snake, dog and bull are animals which are closely associated with Lord Shiva.

Anyway today morning a message got viral on many animal whatsapp group. Given below is the message:

"This guy- "Sardar Mahendra Singh" has thrown acid on a poor dog merely Bcoz he was barking on the street, and very proudly he claims that I will throw acid on all the dogs if they bark at me and even on the people who raise their voice against me.
He is a black mark on the Khalsa community who go out of their way to help the needy and helpless.
And despite all the complaints and Fir against him in Paharganj Police Station he is on loose and set up his punjabi chaap stall every evening at 6 tooti Chowk
Guys plz support and help me in showing the cruel face of this man to the world so that people boycott him and the authorities take an appropriate action against him."

What can be more cruel than this?

What is the police doing?

What's the point of celebrating Mahashivratri when we can't even understand the basic ethos of the festival.
