The current national anthem is boring and outdated. People sing it but there’s no real excitement or care behind it. If we change it to “God Bless The USA” by Lee Greenwood, not only would people proudly and eagerly sing along to it, but it will honor our current and former members of our military who sacrifice their lives to give us the freedoms and liberties we so enjoy today in the country we love. 

“And I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I'd gladly stand up next to you
And defend Her still today
'Cause there ain't no doubt
I love this land
God Bless the U.S.A.”

If we don’t change this, the national anthem will continue to be boring and outdated and not really encapsulate what it means to be an American today. 

It is vitally important to reinvigorate the love for our country in such a tough time. We are so divided and there is no better time to change the national anthem than now. We can get all of America to unite behind this song and help mend our divided country.
