Thank you to everyone who has signed and supported this cause so far.

I wanted to give you all a quick but important update:

Blacktown City Council has formally acknowledged the dangers at Crown and Medlock Streets after our petition and submissions.

Our local State MP, Warren Kirby, has also stepped in and sent a formal letter to Council pushing for urgent interim safety measures.

The issue will now be discussed at the Blacktown Local Traffic Committee (LTC) meeting on 13 May 2025.

A member of Warren Kirby’s staff will be present at the meeting to ensure it is raised and pushed for a resolution.

However — it’s important to know that so far no temporary measures (like warning signs or portable lighting) have been put in place yet. The road remains dangerous.

After the LTC meeting on 13 May, we’ll know whether real action is finally being taken — or whether we need to step up pressure

I’ll be following up directly after the meeting, and if needed, I will call on all of you to help keep the momentum going.

Thank you again — your signatures are already making a difference, but we are not stopping until the street is truly safe for everyone.

Please keep sharing the petition if you can. Every new voice makes it harder for them to ignore us.
