Babies are now being born at Yarra Bend and the clock is ticking

We wanted to share an important update from Yarra Bend.

Grey-headed Flying-fox babies are now being born in the colony.

Mothers are giving birth and caring for tiny, completely dependent pups at the same time major North East Link works are preparing to ramp up nearby.

This is exactly why we are asking for urgent action.

We are not asking for the project to be stopped. We are asking for high-impact works near the colony to be paused during this incredibly vulnerable period, for the risks to the colony in its current location to be independently assessed, and for unnecessary habitat destruction to be avoided.

Thank you to everyone who has signed, shared and contacted decision-makers so far. Please keep sharing the petition. The more people who stand behind this, the harder it is for these concerns to be ignored.
