URGENT NEXT STEP: Send a message directly to Government

Thank you to everyone who has signed and shared our petition to protect Yarra Bend's habitat and Grey-headed Flying-fox colony.

We now need your help to take the next step.

The flying-fox colony has shifted significantly since the original North East Link project assessment and is now located within approximately 50 metres of major construction works, exposing the colony to heavy machinery, significant noise, vibration and ongoing disturbance.

This is particularly concerning as we enter the critical birthing and pup-rearing period, with extreme summer heat also approaching.

We are calling on the Victorian and Australian Governments to postpone major construction works near the colony for approximately six months, until dependent young are sufficiently independent and the period of greatest extreme-heat risk has passed.
