A note from the pediatric nurses: “Yesterday, we received an email response from Greg Cook, CEO of Community Medical Center. In it he acknowledges the hospital will continue to move forward with discontinuing in-house pediatric ICU physicians. The 45+ pediatric nurses and respiratory therapists who signed that letter and the many more who have spoken up since, continue to believe this care model represents unnecessary risk to critically ill children in our community. We have seen the statements released by the hospitals’s marketing director and continue to fundamentally disagree with the leadership team about the impact this will have. We promise you Missoula, we will continue to speak up as we engage in a process with the hospital. Our ask is that you continue to make your voices heard too. Together, we are stronger ❤️”
