The owners of the Transamerica Pyramid want to remove 40 healthy trees from the sidewalk frontage on 3 sides of the building. Public Works turned them down for a permit after an inspection by tree experts but they are appealing this decision. Removal of these trees would de-beautify both this building and the surrounding neighborhood for no positive impact
