BROCKVILLE - NO BIKE LANES ON LAURIER BLVD

• These lanes will increase the risk of accidents for both cyclists and motorists.
• Interfere and congest this emergency artery for our First Responders.

DID YOU KNOW

• Segregated bike paths aren't recommended where there are multiple
• lane ways.
• There are 59 driveways, 9 intersections ,6 crosswalks and 6 transit stops on the south side of Laurier.
• On the 1.2 Km of the lane in the residential area there is some type of conflict with the proposed bike lane every 15 meters.

DID YOU KNOW

• Even though we provide a bike lane cyclists don't have to use them.
• Vehicles, joggers and electric chairs used by the handicapped are
  NOT ALLOWED IN BIKE LANES.
• The City hasn't done a proper study to determine if the bike lanes are actually needed.

DID YOU KNOW

• Laurier Boulevard is a feeder to the industrial park, the numerous box stores,large retail stores , medical services and access to the 401.
• Edmonton is removing a similar lane at a cost of 500,000 dollars do to lack of use.
