STOP the fireworks display!! Fireworks are extremely harmful to animals! Not only domestic animals (dogs and cats) but also the wildlife in the area!

Every year, animal shelters are flooded with stray animals due to them becoming frightened by the loud bangs and fleeing to find a place of safety. This often results in major injuries as the animals impale themselves in palisade fencing, jump through windows, get stuck in fences or even hit by cars as they run into the road to escape.

We find this incredibly irresponsible of Ekurhuleni for hosting this event!!
