The AhLong threat in Malaysia is real and is far more cruel than what we think, until we get trapped ourselves.

1. They will lure you. If they see any fools out there who can be conned into borrowing money, they will surely get to him/her. Word of mouth from work area, business circles and other networking will allow loan sharks to access your profile and they will get to you where u r vulnerable most.

2. Its a systematic network, u r cornered. Once u get 1 loan for any small amount, ur trapped. The interest rate will shoot 5 folds to what u agreed, and it will never settle off. And next, another ahlong will appear from no where to help u settle the 1st one. But they are both the same party actually. So now after taking from 1st one, u will take from 2nd to settle 1st, and then 3rd to settle 2nd, and then 4th and 5th and in the end none of the loans would be settled. And then if they see u weak, they will start harassment to instill fear.

3. No one will help you. U go to police, they will ask u to settle with ahlong in the police station, maybe with 10-20% discount from the over- exaggerated value which could be 10 folds from original. U go to politicians, they will also ask to settle with ahlongs with small deductions as well.
But when u only borrowed 5k and have to pay up 50k just 3 months later, no settlement is actually fair. The police and politicians are only negotiating for their benefits, pretending to help u. In the end, instead of paying 10 time what u borrowed, u will still have to pay 7 times as a negotiated settlement.
And then u might get curious whether if the police and politicians are in the scam also.

I personally saw a family of innocent poor people paying almost 100K within 1 year of borrowing just 5k as principal.
ANd this is settlement after 4 police reports made, 1 politician settled half and another YB withheld their house grant as guarantee to help settle ahlongs. They now have to pay relatives and banks.

Imagine if people with no money can end up 100K poorer via these scandals, what else worse can happen to us?
And this with Police and Politicians already helping(settling).

> Never borrow from Ahlong
> Never reply via phone sms or whatsapp for loan offers

Try to alert poor people who u know, who might consider approaching ahlongs or might fall into these schemes. Its a painful process to get out, even if they do it will be at the expense of a lot of money.

Please TUN Mahathir, please save Malaysians, poor Malaysians from this vicous AhLong rings where authority, politics and big names are controlling.
