Lazytown was a children's television show that aired on Nickelodeon from 2004 to 2014. The show follows the adventures of  Stephanie, who moves to Lazytown and tries to teach its residents the importance of being active and healthy. Despite its popularity, the show was cancelled in 2014 due to financial reasons.

However, there is now a petition going around to try and bring the show back. The petition has 1,846  signatures, and it is gaining more support every day. We, the undersigned, call on Viacom and Nickelodeon to renew Lazytown for a fifth season. The petition states that the show was cancelled due to financial reasons. The show's creator, Magnus Scheving, mentioned in an interview that "Lazytown" cost a lot to produce, and that he had trouble finding additional sponsors for the show. The message of the campaign is to show Nickelodeon that there is a lot of support for Lazy Town, and that it should be brought back. The petition has gained enough momentum to spark an online movement to bring the show back. The production of "LazyTown" and the way it was both produced and viewed, has also given rise to many academic discussions. The show's international popularity has led to a growing interest in children's television from a critical perspective.
