Dear neighbor,

Thank you for signing—your support means a lot! It has been six months since we launched our Tenant Bill of Rights campaign, a long-term effort to transform housing conditions in Madison by expanding tenant protections.

We’ve gathered almost 400 signatures on our petition and received endorsements from more than 20 community organizations.

Join us for our next meeting, where we’ll finalize the language of the Bill. Once finalized, we’ll share the proposal with sympathetic legislators and launch a public campaign for support.

📣 General Tenant Assembly
🗓 Sunday, July 21 | 2–4 PM
📍 Madison Central Library, Room 201 (201 Mifflin St)

Over the past few months, we’ve been refining the 9-point plan into concrete legislative demands based on tenant priorities.

🔍 Check out our updated campaign page:

It includes new research on:

Tenant Bills of Rights in other cities
The history of tenant protections in Madison (did you know we used to have rent control?)

Together, we can win stronger rights for Madison tenants. See you on July 21.

In solidarity,

Ozzy
