The Confederate statue at the intersection of Cotton Ave. and Second St. should be moved to the Confederate Cemetary at Rose Hill or to another comparable location.  The statue has only sat in its present location for just over 50 years.  The time has come to remove this symbol of racism and oppression and replace it with something more representative of our entire Macon-Bibb community.
