In response, the Co-op has made the corner less safe for pedestrians

The Co-op have responded to our concerns by removing the bollards that were obstructing wheelchair users. This makes the pavement less safe for pedestrians (including wheelchair users, parents with prams, etc), not more - when they could instead simply reopen the front door.

I've been too busy to do more campaigning on this issue lately, but my goal is to sit on the bench opposite the Co-op front door and collect signatures for the petition on a busy Wednesday market day. If you're passionate about this issue and would like to do the same, please don't wait for me! :D
