For years, concerned members of the public have urged Pets at Home and other pet shops and garden centres to stop selling animals on welfare grounds. A few have listened. Some have stopped. Most haven’t. Because as always, money comes first. If they can make a profit from the sale of an animal why wouldn’t they? After all, they are a business, not a charity.
Since profit is the only language Pets at Home and other pet selling shops understand, we need to hit them where it hurts.
Most of you who have signed this petition already boycott pet shops that sell pets.
Earlier this year, we carried out a survey involving almost 5,000 people.
87% agreed pet shops should stop selling rabbits.
77% agreed pet shops should stop selling pets.
59% said they already boycotted those pet shops.
We can all make a difference by refusing to give our money to those unethical businesses and make a conscious effort to shop elsewhere.
With this in mind, we have created a Facebook community group of like-minded people where we can share alternative suppliers and also be counted!
We can prove to those shops that they are losing business.

Take the pledge and make it one of your new year resolution!
Animals aren't products and shouldn't be sold in shops!
Thank you !
