Another rabbit had to be rescued today due to wrong advice given by Pets at Home staff. Three rabbits were put into a stressful situation and could have been badly injured. Luckily Edwina is now in good hands at Rabbit Rescue North West who will arrange for her to be spayed and fully-vaccinated prior to rehoming. First step is to gain her trust as she is obviously a bit nervous today.
This story comes shortly after someone bought a rabbit from Pets at Home and then realised it wasn't going to work with their dog. Pets at Home weren't going to refund the £80 for bunny + cage so bunny became advertised online a couple of days after purchase.
Again no questions asked by the staff or very poor advice provided if any.
You shouldn't be able to walk into a shop and walk out with a rabbit or any animal.
Pets at Home are making a profit from impulse buys and are still putting profit before pets!
