Following the summer's excellent campaigning to save the trees on Vauxhall Way we have now submitted a formal request to the council for protection for these trees, backed by over 2500 of you!
The number of trees at risk is quite reliably estimated to be around 900. As far as we know, despite the council's funding issues they plan to continue this project as soon as possible in the new year.
Please, now is the time to ensure your opinion is heard formally. Write a letter to the planning department confirming your support for this protection: developmentcontrol@luton.gov.uk
Write to the leader of the council to state your objections to the plans: Hazel.Simmons@Luton.gov.uk
Write to your local councillors to let them know your views: Find your Ward
