I adopted a vegetarian lifestyle 6 years ago and in this period I have travelled extensively using a variety of different airlines.  Something happened to me during a recent flight that has never happened before. 

Recently I took a short haul flight (Manchester to Istanbul via frankfurt), and I was shocked to hear that they did not offer any vegetarian meal options even when pre-booked. Their standard meal option was chicken and that was it, if anyone wanted a vegetarian meal they should 'bring their own food' or as per the cabin crew's suggestion, 'eat around the chicken'. 

I find this to be an unacceptable policy, and would appreciate if you could sign this petition to help me get this policy changed. 

In my flight out there were atleast 30+ people who did not eat anything on the plane as they required vegetarian meals and/or a halal or kosher meal.   This policy discriminates against not only vegetarians but also Muslims, Hindu's and Jews.
