UPDATE: Stop Illegal Killing Methods Used On Romanian Dogs

Hello to everyone and thanks again to ALL the people who have signed my petition (and hopefully shared also). I have recently sent an email to the Romanian Ambassador in London - Dan Mihalache. If he replies I will post his reply here for all to see. The content of my email is as follows: Dear Mr Ambassador Mihalache I like many other people across the world are extremely concerned about the stray dog crisis in Romania. It appears that laws have been changed that do not help dog owners keep their dogs and ultimately the dog owners abandon their dogs on the streets, forests etc. The reason is many people cannot afford to have their dog(s) sterilised, therefore they are being abandoned because of this. The innocent dogs are cruelly collected by very violent dog catchers that show no respect or compassion for the dogs they catch. Then, once caught if they are not claimed or adopted within a two week period, they are 'euthanised'. However, the term euthanised in many other countries means by lethal injection, allowing the poor dog to die with 'dignity' and no pain. The dogs in the 'shelters' are subjected to starvation, poisoning, electrocution etc. and in fact many other barbaric forms of torture before they die. I read once where your President Iohannis stated he would try and help the stray dog situation, but so far nothing has changed. I plead with you Mr Ambassador to try and put into place a more considerate proposal to help improve the stray dog situation. I think it is well recognised that the spaying of female dogs would help immensely with the problem, and why could this not be enforced, it is a very cost effective solution as I am sure you would agree?
