You (Conservative MP Lucy Allan) posted on your Facebook page an email you doctored and claimed had been sent by a constituent, framing 'Rusty Shackleford'/ Adam Waitling for sending an elected member of Parliament (MP) a death threat. Such abuse of power should be illegal for a politician and it is highly irresponsible for an elected representative to act in such a careless and corrupt manner!

This abuse is yet another example of pro-war politicians trying to slander the anti-war movement as bullies. If the roles were reversed and this was done by an anti-war politician, it would be denounced and detested, rightly so, as unacceptable! Though it would certainly be used to slander the anti-war movement.

Whether they agree with them or not, MPs should represent the public, not slander them as criminals! MPs should view themselves, rightly so, as representatives of their constituents and not as their enemies or rulers. They should not be trying to spread false propaganda to change the views of their constituents to meet theirs, but rather they should act in a manner which accurately represents the views of those they are supposed to represent. That is how a democracy works.

By resigning from your position, it would restore some faith in the so called democratic system and in politicians by making it clear that corruption and irresponsible behaviour are unwelcome; and that politicians can be trusted to conduct themselves in a professional manner, while trying to represent the public. Furthermore, constituents will have faith that they can lobby their elected representatives without being slandered, abused or arrested after having their views grossly misrepresented.

I encourage everyone who agrees to sign and share and I also hope that you understand that faith within the system and politicians (which are currently lacking) are vital for a democracy to be complete.
