Hello all,
Please click here to sign the most recent petition: https://www.change.org/p/urgent-protect-the-north-arm-trails
A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who is signing, sharing and commenting! We've gathered 2000 signatures and many personal comments in the just the first week. Please keep up the momentum so we can share at least 3000 signatures on Tuesday January 29th! Imagine resting assured that this land and it's ancient inspiration will be available for many more generations!
If you are willing to help create an even larger impact, snail-mail letters sent in the next day or so to Commissioner Sarah Strommen could be hugely helpful!

Please ask that management of the state land between the North Arm of Burntside and the BWCAW be transferred to the Parks and Trails Division of the DNR. (currently under forestry, who's focus is timber) You could mention the large number of families who use the trails, the diversity initiatives via the camps, the age ranges, multigenerational connections, the significant inspirational qualities of the Old Growth forest, how special an original intact upland red and white pine forest ecosystem is in our state, especially with such impactful visitor access and value (they are a disappearing commodity!)

(btw, near the bottom under "Reasons for signing" is where you can add comments via the petition)
Much gratitude for your advocacy!
