Dear YouTube Team,

We, the creators and members of the YouTube community, respectfully ask you to reconsider the current thresholds for the YouTube Creator Awards.

Currently, the first physical award — the Silver Play Button — requires 100,000 subscribers. While this is a major milestone, it sets an extremely high bar, especially for smaller creators without access to marketing or large-scale visibility.

We propose:

Introduce a Bronze Play Button for channels with 10,000 subscribers; or Lower the threshold for the Silver Play Button to 50,000 subscribers.

Why this matters:

Reaching 10,000 subscribers is a major achievement and deserves recognition.

Smaller creators in niche communities or non-English-speaking countries face bigger challenges and slower growth.

This change would boost motivation and make the platform feel more inclusive and rewarding.

YouTube thrives because of its creators — large and small. By acknowledging early growth and hard work with a milestone award, YouTube can show it truly values the journey of all content creators, not just the top tier.
