It's clear that local people want this section to be safer for those who wish to walk and cycle along it but Highways seem intent on treating it as 'open countryside' and applying the same principles as if it was a remote rural road; rather than the small linking section between two villages that it actually is.

Work to upgrade the footway will soon be undertaken but we worry use of it will be limited due to the speed and proximity of traffic through this section. We want to see it well used so please help us to share this petition widely.
