Hi everyone!

Berkeley Heights is kicking off its Slow Down in Our Town campaign this Saturday, March 22—and you can join in! The initiative will start with signs placed along Park Avenue for a few weeks and recycling bin stickers that will remain visible. The signs will then be rotated to other high-visibility and high-traffic areas in town to make drivers there aware and to avoid driver complacency along Park.

If you live along Park Avenue, just off it on a side street, Bolton, Fairfax, Tudor or Hamilton between Park and Rutgers, you can pick up a lawn sign and/or bin sticker on March 22, between 12 pm and 1 pm at the corner of Park and Chaucer.

Mayor Devanney, members of the Berkeley Heights Police Department, BH Complete and Green Streets task force members, and fellow residents will also be on hand to chat, answer questions and take suggestions for the next roads to get the signs. Please join to help Berkeley Heights spread the word about road safety!

Saturday, March 22

12 pm to 1 pm

425 Park Avenue (corner of Chaucer)

Parking on Chaucer and nearby side streets if you can’t walk or are just passing through en route to somewhere else.

Kids are welcome.

If you aren’t able to stop by but want a sign or sticker, you can email me at dnigrobh@gmail.com to see if we have any left for you to pick up later. Or, if you live in a different area that and want the signs placed there later, you can also email me.

Thank you for all your support!

Dana
