Myron: I'll tolerate maybe one "ad" per year. The topical content of this message was relevant.

"If you're like me, very dismayed about climate change, now and into the future, I challenge you to watch the 1st 2 videos @ www.GiveNOLA.org/ProRateEnergy donate and resend this text to 10 of your friends. Please help us continue our important work. If you read further at the same site, you'll learn that we have 7 innovations and have influenced two utilities."
I don't even know if I should apologize for this blatant "misuse" of this forum and ask for donations. If, indeed it is a misuse, I don't know.
However, the leadership of our little non-profit, ProRate Energy, innovated (& maybe we invented them,... we don't really know) a host of improvements to the very field of science the EBT is devoted. AND, We're in the very same deep south that Jim points to in this thread. i.e., We are deeply threatened by sea level rise. We need to be effective locally and have the technologies we propose be implemented globally. And very soon.
We urge you to support us, because we need you and we are supporting you.
If you read the text at our website within the GiveNOLA.Org site, you'll see that we document that we "innovated":
1. Community solar,
2. Adding batteries to rooftop solar will improve the effective ECONOMIC value to meet the SunShot initiative's goal of installing below $1/w.
3. Load Flexibility
4. Bidirectional realtime prices pared with better than critical peak pricing
5. Rooftop Community Solar
6. Energy Efficient Leasing that solves the landlord- tenant problem
7. Electric Vehicle Parking Lots that can pay a Telsa owner $20/day to park downtown.
And I claim that either #4 or #5 can rejuvenate CA's rooftop solar industry. Which is by intention.
* Please read carefully my claims.
* Please seriously consider making a small donation.
* Please enjoy the 1st 2 videos . I think you will really like them.
* Please forward the first paragraph of this email as text messages to your friends.
* The donation window is now open and closes at midnight Tuesday evening May 7, NOLA time CT, (New Orleans, LA).
I sincerely thank you,

One of the most rapid sea level surges on Earth is besieging the American South, forcing a reckoning for coastal communities across eight U.S. states, a Washington Post analysis has found.
Six inches since 2010. As much as the previous 50 years combined.
I will resist commenting on the politics of this region and how it relates.
This is one of the Washington Post complex interactive graphic articles that is hard to read unless you have a working link. The link below should get you around the Washington Post paywall, and can be shared.
My sense is that the oceans are all connected, so this may be coming soon to an ocean near you.
