Our team members' many non-profit activities go back 40 years and we are very proud of their many accomplishments; here are some.

• co-led two "Get NOPSI Back" referenda in 1983 & 1985 to successfully regain local regulatory control of the electric utility;
• co-founded the Alliance for Affordable Energy in 1985;
• initiated and ran a successful campaign within the Sierra Club to promote "Energy Efficiency as the key solution to Stop Global Warming" as a national priority in 1985;
• submitted expert testimony opposing and asserting the imprudence of constructing the Grand Gulf Nuclear Powered electricity generator in 1986;
• became a national leader in home energy performance testing and consulting during 1988 through 2010; nominated to the board of RESNET (residential energy services network) in 2009;  
• ran for Louisiana's 1st congressional district seat as an Energy Consultant to address Climate Change and became the Democratic Party's nominee against Steve Scalise in 2010 and received 20% of the vote;
• published on how to help remediate the energy futility of ducted AC in an ASTM journal in 2003: 
• selected to co-run and administer the New Orleans Energy Efficiency Programs with Honeywell in early 2005;
• co-led the New Orleans Energy Policy Taskforce 2005 - 2007;
• independently invented Community Solar, 2006
• independently conceived and published about Load Flexibilty which pays for the equipment to lower carbon footprints better than Energy Efficiency in 2014; 
• independently conceived and published on adding batteries to rooftop solar raises rooftop solar cost-effectiveness as measured in $/w in 2015;
• independently invented a revolutionary Variable Peak Pricing, bidirectional, time varying electricity rate design, called Customer Lowered Electricity Price, a.k.a., CLEP, a.k.a., ProRate, which better solves equity and fairness problems, lowers carbon footprints, extinguishes cross-subsidies, finances deep investments for sustainability, reliability, resilience, and builds microgrids and virtual peaking plants, etc. In 2016;
• challenged the construction of NOPS, a 200 MW gas peaking plant in 2018;
• promoted CLEP by intervening in the 2018 Entergy New Orleans rate case;
• co-founded the Greater New Orleans Interfaith Climate Coalition - to establish climate justice and promote care of the Earth (gnoicc.org) in 2020; 
• co-founded ProRate.Energy in 2021;
• co-founded Together New Orleans in 2022;
• in 2022 intervened in New Orleans' three dockets : a) Reliabilty, b) Resilience, c) Community Solar and asserted in each that ProRate would greatly ameliorate those problems; 
• jointly submitted a grant application to DOE on Community Energy interconnections and microgrids creating policy in 2022; and
• invented Rooftop Community Solar  (RCS) in 2023 which solves such a large set of problems that it is too numerous to list here.
