UPDATE
This past Monday the Hope Mills board of commissioners met for a public hearing in regards to changing their two year terms to four year staggered terms. There was no support for this move during the public hearing. In 2018 the voters of Hope Mills overwhelming turned down the request to change to the four year staggered terms. Regardless, the commissioners voted 3-1 to change the terms. Please click on the link and sign the online petition. Please share the link
In addition there is now a written Board of election petition circulating throughout the Hope Mills neighborhoods. We have thirty days from the 7th of July. Again, like I said above this was voted down in 2018. Please try to sign this petition.
Thanks for your interest there are 93 signatures on this petition.
