Dear all
Sadly there is no news yet about the fate of The Cinema Museum but it hasn't been a quiet time for The Cinema Museum or the many volunteers and advocates!
You may have seen over Christmas that Mark Kermode's review of the films of 2017 was filmed at The Cinema Museum, what an honour! Those of you in the UK can still see it on BBC iPlayer for a few more days.
We also won Best Silent Film Venue of the year as part of a public vote, a great start to the year, with one of the Kennington Bioscope events hosted by the Museum winning another award.
As our trustees said in response - 'The Cinema Museum celebrates the art-form of silent movies - they are part of our shared history and they are part of a thrilling yesteryear - but they are also great tools in improving the wellbeing of those with hearing problems - silent movies were made to directly communicate without audible words and they were made to appeal directly and engage with our emotions. Silent movies are wonderful examples of the genius of people and how that genius follows us down the ages.'
And our petition got another boost this week when we were featured on Jo Good's programme on BBC Radio London. It was so encouraging to hear people calling in saying how much they love The Cinema Museum and sharing their memories of visiting.
If you haven't visited yet there are some tour dates available on our website

Thanks again for all your support please keep sharing the petition, and I hope we have some news soon
