Amend current dog control orders for Westgate Fields and Hubbards Hills and erect secure dog runs in each area.

Dog fouling and dogs not under control in Westgate Fields and Hubbards Hills is creating an unsafe environment for children in these public spaces.
Please sign and let the Town Council know how many people are affected by these issues. (Your details don't have to appear online.)
Currently dog owners are required to clean up dog mess in both parks, however this is not always done. Dogs are not required to be on leads in Westgate Fields. Dogs are required to be on leads only in a section of Hubbards Hills during certain months of the year, however dog owners rarely comply.
Dog control orders should be put in place so dogs are required to be on leads in these parks at all times, unless in newly created dog runs. Dog fouling should continue to be an offence.
In Louth there are only a few small public places where children can play safely without fear of encountering dog mess or a dog not under control by its owner. Westgate Fields and Hubbards Hill are valuable resources that should be safe for all members of the community and not only dog owners.
