Update from Jenny & Cynthia

We wanted to update everyone on a meeting we had with the School Board members of the Health and Wellness Committee and the Loudoun County Public School Food Services Staff. We are happy to report that LCPS feels the same way we do about eliminating these ingredients from our cafeterias. They're completely behind removing these dangerous chemicals and will be working with food manufacturers to eliminate them. We still have a lot of work to do. We need to educate children and families on the benefits of healthy eating, promote and build school gardens and work with the state to make it easier for LCPS to purchase from local farmers. We have set up a Facebook page, Real Food For Kids-Loudoun County. Please join us over there as we continue to discuss ways to accomplish our goals. We greatly appreciate everyone signing this petition and continue to urge those that feel strongly about this issue to sign it. Having over 1000 signatures by last night's meeting was amazing!
