I would like to personally thank you for taking a stand for the improved administration of justice in our Los Angeles County communities by supporting this petition. 

If you believe that the voters of Los Angeles County should genuinely have a chance to RECALL Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva, we need you to spread the word about this petition.  Re-post the link to this petition so that we can get a strong, diverse coalition of community voices assembled to take on this campaign in time for the November 2020 election!

This campaign will have three phases:

1) Core awareness.  Informally reach early milestones of 500, 1000, 2,500, 5,000, and finally 10,000 supporters to enable media coverage and support from opinion makers, hopefully before mid-July.

2) Formation of a organizing committee in July to undertake a formal ballot recall signature collection campaign, seeking funding and volunteers from across Los Angeles County's diverse communities.

3) Collection of signatures by volunteers in local areas, with a committee to coordinate and organize the effort through August, with care to protect volunteers and ensure that the campaign is conducted in a peaceful, respectful, and genuine manner.

Gathering hundreds of thousands of signatures with community volunteers may sound like an insurmountable task, but it has been done before and it will happen again.  Democracy is about grassroots participation, and this movement can send a clear message to both our Sheriff and our elected officials that the people of Los Angeles County will take positive action to hold their leaders accountable for their actions and results.  By enabling voters to decide on the RECALL of Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva, we return authority and oversight over our top law enforcement office in the county to the people.
