We have one last chance to stop the approval of a corporate hotel development on public land in South Central.

On Tuesday, January 31, at 2:00pm, the Los Angeles City Council’s Planning and Land Use Management Committee will meet for a final vote on the development.

This hotel would reside on the site of the former Bethune Library, publicly owned land long-slated for affordable housing.

South Central, like the rest of the city, is facing a dire housing crisis, and we need developments that serve the immediate needs of the people that live here and not tourists from out of town.

Please send an email to the committee to tell them to oppose this hotel and ensure public land for public good OR call in and make public comment during the committee meeting.
