The recent loss by 5 member of the Labour Party of an appeal by the Labour Party, which now allows the Labour Party to prevent members who joined within the last 6 months from voting in the Labour Leadership Election, is an affront to a supposedly democratic political party and its processes.

The appeal was presided over by Sir Philip Sales, who has recently been outed as a Blairite, and a Legal Advisor to Tony Blair's Government.  This means that the presiding judge in the appeal hearing had a clear conflict of interest, and was therefore biased in favour of the appeal.

So we, the undersigned, request that Sir Philip Sales be sacked for his failure to disclose this conflict of interest prior to the hearing, thus preventing a fairer hearing from taking place.
