Thank you! Your voices have been heard! Hummingbird House is very pleased to announce that the Brisbane City Council has agreed to our request to maintain our existing property fence line. This will safeguard, at least for the foreseeable future, the outdoor environment for families that will soon access Queensland's only children's hospice. The team at Hummingbird House would like to express how grateful they are to the Lord Mayor, Graham Quirk and the Brisbane City Council for this decision. We know it will please the thousands of local community members who supported our request to maintain full access to our current property boundary that lies along Curwen Terrace. We recognise that we now require a Permit to Occupy from State Government to continue to maintain our boundary and are duly following the required process, with the support of the Brisbane City Council. We look forward to Hummingbird House taking flight, and feel comfortable that the importance of our outdoor facilities have been recognised.
