When students come home from sports or from school, what do they worry about? If you don’t go to high school you might think, going outside and having fun, or having an elaborate conversation with your family. Well, that isn’t reality. In 2018 students are more stressed out about getting homework done than actually learning what they are doing. Of course homework helps in some ways. For example, for teachers to see what you understand or to get a glimpse of what you’re learning, but there are much more negatives than positives. Students cry over homework, stress over homework, don’t get sleep over homework, and over all don’t learn as much by doing homework. In class a student will spend more of their time going over homework or grading homework than actually learning. Based on experience, I didn’t have a childhood. You may be thinking, ‘what no childhood?’. Well, the answer is yes because I was doing the sport I love gymnastics and homework took up a lot of time so i had to quit the sport i love and stay inside all day doing homework. I never really had the time to go outside and play. At ten years old they put pressure on us about grades when we could be learning about life or about having fun while learning.We believe that less homework in non ap classes would do better for the school community. Everything would be so much different without  homework in a positive way and many people believe that as well.
