Since we last wrote to you (a mere two days ago) we have experienced a huge surge of support and, wonderfully, we have just reached 75,000 signatures on our petition to #SaveMildmay.

Thank you all so much for signing and sharing. Change.org are also promoting our petition, because they have noticed how well it is doing, which will help us massively.

It means so much to us that so many of you support Mildmay Mission Hospital and are as appalled as we are at the idea that we might have our funding withdrawn – and what that means for people living with HIV and related complications that can be so debilitating.

This is a really powerful message that our MP, Rushanara Ali, will, on our behalf, take to those health ministers and NHS commissioners who have the final say about our future.

What happens next?

Well, as the last day of June and the end of our contract approaches, we aren’t going to go away quietly. We have to keep going and reach the next milestone.

We are doing all we can to keep lobbying the decision-makers. This amazing petition keeps us in the public eye and we will keep making noise so that people take notice. Thank you for being with us on this journey. As a charity, we can truly say that without you, we could not exist.

Thank you,

From all in the Mildmay Family
