An opportunity: Make rebuilding Victoria Park Lido a priority this election

I know it’s been a while since my last update, and I wanted to start by thanking you for your continued interest and support for the Rebuild the Victoria Park Lido campaign.

Over the past couple of years, I’ve had to step back from campaign work due to a serious housing situation. My landlord’s disastrous attempt to build flats above our building left me and some of my neighbours displaced. Local elections are coming up on 7th May, and this is a key moment. Candidates for Tower Hamlets Council and Mayor will be actively seeking your support, which gives you real influence. If rebuilding the Victoria Park Lido matters to you, now is the time to make that clear. Reach out to candidates, ask questions, and press them for commitments.

Just as importantly, make sure you’re registered to vote. The deadline is Monday 20 April, and you can register quickly here: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote

On a personal note, the work I’ve been doing to advocate for my neighbours has led to a meaningful opportunity: I’ve been selected as the Green Party candidate for Mile End ward. I’m keen to help bring strong Green voices into Tower Hamlets politics—and I’d really value your support.
