Do Not Close Belvedere Splash Park

Do Not Close Belvedere Splash Park
The Issue
Belvedere Splash Park has been enjoyed by the local community for decades. It is one of the largest of only two facilities like it in the borough; the other being a much smaller splash area in Danson Park's playground.
In an age where outdoor activities are being encouraged more to improve the health and development of our children, the closure of Belvedere Splash Park will be of huge detriment to local families
The Council maintains that Danson is a viable altenative however this is not practical for several reasons - it would not be able to cater for the volumes of families using it, it would create a significant increase in traffic in the already congested Bexleyheath / Crook Log area and those of us without cars would have to travel up to an hour there and another hour back on buses to use the facility, which would take the enjoyment of going, making it a stressful event rather than a fun place to go.
