The people of Liverpool have not been offered the opportunity to vote on whether we want the Mayoral system of governance on the City Council. The powers and decision making the Council has is directly handed to the holder of office of the Mayor of Liverpool, thus decreasing the roles and responsibilities of our City Councillors.

This is not an anti Mayor Joe Anderson campaign this is the people of Liverpool wanting to shape and decide on our own destiny.

We the undersigned resident of the City of Liverpool, call upon Liverpool City Council to hold a referendum on the mayoral model of governance at the earliest opportunity.
