So, after a huge outcry and prayer after yesterday's update I have seen the good I am accomplishing. After having time to think about it, I will not let this corrupt district win. I will continue my battle with the board to fix our current broken system. I apologize for the brief moment I was feeling defeated. After talks with teachers last night I will not give up this fight. This issue is to important to give up on. I need to practice what I preach and have faith that we will prevail. Like I said this will be a long journey with bumps along the way. I will stand with all teachers and staff to fight for the improvement of our district and will lead the charge to victory. Which being diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 4 I have fought the odds my entire life and have proven to doctors that I can do anything I put my mind to. My mother was told when I was diagnosed I would not live into my 30's , but with the help of current technology and taking care of myself I will be 39 this month and other than being a bit over weight I'm not going anywhere. I have had bumps come along with my journey of diabetes, and I may never be cured but I will live my life to the fullest and never let this disease kill me. Like the journey I am on to fix our district I have had low times and felt defeated, but with prayers and support I have always prevailed, so by saying this, I will not let this corrupt disease of a district win, and will fight for what is right, a better work environment for our teachers and staff, and a better education for every student, no matter what race or mental disabilities they may have. Please stand with me and show the board we have had enough of their BS. Thank you for the support you have given me. You have know idea how much it means to me. I have never failed and will not let this be the first time. THANK YOU, JASON BATES
