Massive thanks to Hull Live who posted an article on our petition to Wilko's asking them to stop selling a deadly product. We have only just come across this article which quotes and links to the petition we organised directly.
Since this petition started, we have been contacted by many who's Hamsters have suffered as a result of fluffy bedding. Change within big retailers are silently being made, something I do believe we have to applaud and support.
Pets at Home are now starting to stock larger cages and it has also been reported that Wilko's now have a safe bedding option available in stores across the West Midlands.
Sadly they still sell the dangerous product and mislead consumers. Coming soon, we will be realising a report we conducted where we spoke with staff at the retailer, who's identity we have protected, about this bedding and what they knew about the product they sell.
