Our petition is getting close to having 1,200 supporters! Thank you all for your continued work.  Our Linn County Board of Supervisors and Planning & Development are working to schedule a community meeting about the project. They want to know if we the county support or oppose industrial-scale solar. Our petition with our many signatures will be shared with our county prior to this meeting. Continue to strengthen our voice in numbers through sharing of this petition and talking about our objections with industrial-solar power plants on our agricultural and rural lands surrounding our communities.

I will share information about the county meeting with you all when we hear that a date has been scheduled. I anticipate the meeting will follow quickly after the scheduling. We would love to have a large portion of our community show up, even in our vehicles to express support of our position even if you are not inside the meeting hall. Seeing us in a mass group will speak volumes to our county and NextEra about our opposition to this project and that we advocate for proper siting.
